In order to gain more public input for the update of the Town of Durham Comprehensive Plan, the Towns Comprehensive Planning Committee will be sponsoring a series of focus group sessions on Saturday January 26 starting at 9 AM at Town Hall.

The event will be held Saturday, January 26, starting at 9 AM at the Town Hall.  Different topics are to be discussed in one-hour groups.  We are inviting you to choose to attend one or more of the sessions as follows:

The Planning consultant for this project will help with these sessions.  The discussion will focus on exploring both challenges and opportunities related to each topic, and sharing of ideas on how to improve the Town in the future.  The results of these discussions will help the Comprehensive Plan Committee develop a town-wide survey to be completed in the coming months and to update the plan.

The objective of these focus groups is to gain a more thorough understanding about how residents, landowners, and businesses feel about the town and its future.  This is important because the comprehensive plan must incorporate thoughts, opinions, hopes, and aspirations of Durhams’ residents.
