NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, ESTABLISHING AN EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF DURHAM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Durham, Greene County, New York at a Regular Meeting thereof held on the 7th day of May 2019 duly adopted a resolution subject to a permissive referendum, the purpose and effect of which is to cause the Town to establish an Ambulance Emergency Medical Services District encompassing the entire town pursuant to Article 12-A of the NYS Town Law. Copies of all documents associated with the establishment of the district are on file with Town Clerk of the Town of Durham and are available for public inspection.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the foregoing resolution shall become effective without action of the Town Board on the 7th day of June in the year 2019 unless a petition requesting that a Referendum thereon be submitted to the voters in the manner required by law.

As a Data Collector, you will measure the exterior and physically inspect and record pertinent elements and associated information for properties throughout the Town of Durham. The position requires a self-motivated individual with a unique combination of analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Inspect residential properties to ensure that property records reflect current and accurate property characteristics and information.
- Collect detailed property data and take physical measurements, while verifying information via interview with property owner or occupant if available.
- Record new and/or updated information including the sketch of property improvements.
- Ability to read maps and locate a physical location on a map.
- Good math skills to calculate square footage, ratios, and similar functions.
- Good communication skills
- Self-starter, goal -oriented and able to work with a team and independently.
- Car, valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Satisfactory background check

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 3, Section 29, Subdivision 10-a of Town Law of the State of New York, that a copy of the Town of Durham Supervisor’s Report for the year 2018 has been filed in the office of the Town Clerk, Janet Partridge, and available for inspection at the Town Building on Route 81 in Oak Hill during normal business hours.

PURSUANT to New York State Town Law Article 12-A, §§209, 209-c and 209-d the Town Board of the Town of Durham hereby
ORDERS that pursuant to the maps, plans and reports filed with the Town Clerk of the Town of Durham on or about April 4, 2019, which are available for public inspection, the creation of an Emergency Medical Services District is hereby proposed to be established and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that the description of the boundaries of such proposed extended district shall be as set forth in the attached Schedule “A” and shall include the entire Town of Durham and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that the improvements and expenses proposed shall finance contract(s) with licensed contractor(s) to provide emergency medical services throughout the Town and in conjunction with the District and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that the total maximum amount proposed to be expended is $199,356.00 (One Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Six Dollars) for the establishment of the District herein, and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that the estimated cost to the typical property assessed at $125,000.00 (One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars) is proposed to be $102.88 (One Hundred Two Dollars and Eighty Eight Cents) annually and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that the proposed method of financing to be employed is through the establishment of an independent taxing district on an Ad Valorem basis and will be taxed against all properties within the District, which shall be all properties within the Town and the use of conventional bonds by the District, if necessary, and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that the Town Board met and held a public hearing to hear all persons interested in the proposed Emergency Medical Services district on the 16th day of April, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Town Hall, 7309 Route 81, East Durham, NY, and a second public hearing shall be held on May 7, 2019 at the same place and time for the adoption of the Resolution establishing the District; and the Town Board hereby further
ORDERS that a copy of this ORDER, shall be posted on the official Town sign-board and shall be published in the official newspaper of the Town not less than 10 (ten) days prior to the meeting date and not more than 20 days prior to such date.
